Island Breeze is your gateway to island paradise. It is a
secluded Florida island home rental near nature, the beach, and away from crowds and
people. Island Breeze is a Florida
vacation rental one house back from the beach but official beach access is five houses up Gulf Lane or you can walk or drive to Castaway Key beach seven houses up Gulf Lane. A short walk
in the other direction takes you to the 700 acre state park that makes up the south half of the island.

Island Breeze is a vacation rental by owner. We take personal interest in your
having a great vacation.
The maps call this island North Captiva but the locals and
old timers call it Upper Captiva, reminiscent of when it was part of Captiva and Sanibel. You
choose how you want to call Paradise.
This sunset changed dramatically from moment to moment.

Whether you kayak around Foster point, fish for snook in the mangroves,
shell for sand dollars, build castles in the sand, or just enjoy the sun and quiet you
will have a vacation to remember.

You stop at the house just long enough to grab
your towel and a bottle of water or maybe a glass of wine.

|
A few minutes later youre on the beach
watching the most incredible sunset. Pelicans flying into the water in splashy display.
Sandpipers prancing and scurrying on the beach feeding on Coquinas. Water lapping at your
feet. This is what its all about.

Upper Captiva is a secluded barrier island on
the Gulf of Mexico. Separated from Captiva in the 1921 hurricane, Upper Captiva has not
become as developed and retains the flavor of Old Captiva with abundant wildlife,
fantastic shelling, and glorious beaches free of crowds. Separated from the mainland by
the protected waters of Pine Island sound you will see dolphins, osprey, pelicans, and a
host of other wildlife.

Bromeliads are epiphytes. They hydrate off moisture in the air, rain, and dew but have very poor roots. |

Be sure to wear eye protection and sun block, the sun is
strong here even in the winter.
